Glimmers '86

The Glimmers, the sole team to survive the league culling of '83, did so only by virtue of being the previous season's runners-up. Manager SUSAN ORTEGA was satisfied enough with the team's performance and fans' reception that she rallied to keep the starting squad as intact as possible. Despite succeeding in all aspects of the game besides the Black Diamond, this loss meant they were rewarded the best outcome for ORTEGA: a franchisable brand. 

The loss of VIOLET and a forced colour change were reluctant losses, but they are positive that this new look Glimmers have what it takes to go one step closer to the Black Diamond. Pundits have already began to scoff that their gimmick will probably only work once, but ORTEGA has already starting charging extra for tickets in the nosebleeds for all the fans who want to catch a home run hit ball. 

The Glimmers will have you amazed with their METEOR and ROCKET hits soaring through the skies and their SPARK BALL and SSFB pitches launching past the batters.
